Daniel Elena made his debut as a codriver with Hervé Bernard in the FFSA Rallye Jeunes team during the 1997 season. At the end of that year he took part in his first rally with Sébastien Loeb in the Criterium des Cevennes. They have been inseparable ever since!

In the 2006 Sardinian Rally Elena became the codriver with the highest number of victories in the FIA World Rally Championship, as his twenty-fifth win beats Luis Moya’s record.

Since then he has continued to rack up victories and titles. Like his driving buddy, the Monegasque is the codriver with the highest number of titles and victories in the world championship.

In addition to his career as codriver, Elena has taken part in a few rallies as a driver just for the fun of it.

Proud of his Monaco origins, Daniel is also the perfect foil to Loeb. In the face of his driver’s legendary discretion, Daniel always has a joke or a quip to lighten up the ambience!
